I had visited several countries in Asia, but India is the best place for book shoppings! For example, a latest novel will cost you around RM25 (USD 7) but if you get them in Malaysia it will cost you like RM38-42 (USD 11). The main reason for the cheaper price is because of the Indian publisher has a lower publication rate. However, if the books are not published in India, it is usually still 20% cheaper than outside India :-)
Now you know, if you happen to go to India or friends going there! Pass them the rainbow bag (balik kampung bag) or golf bag ..and stuffed them!

I know this trick but find it hard to find books in India that I would usually buy in other places.
Rotitelur, what sort of books are you buying lah. Everytime I went there never failed to find a latest novel. Probably some self-books may not be published there and it may cost more. But again, like "Who Moved My Cheese" only cost RM 9 each in India, meanwhile in Kuala Lumpur may cost you RM15 above.
