Budget airlines and Clark Airport, Philippines

For those who always travel with budget, this message is especially for you. I know Air Asia fly to Philippines, however they uses the Clark airport. The Clark airport is formerly a US military airforce based. If your purpose is to visit Makati or Manila, fyi, it is around 40km from these cities! Also, traffic can be really bad during peak hours. Normally it will take 3 hours to 4 hours to travel from Clark airport to Manila!!

The better choice of budget airline is Cebu Air, it flies directly between KL and Manila. It takes only 25 minutes to the city during non peak hours :)

Yes you may save money on the flight, but time is also money! If you are retired and has nothing else to look forward, then of course you can take the longer route!

You said that if take Cebu Air, it only takes 25 minutes to the city during non peak hours. How come you compare non peak hours in Cebu air to peak hours when in Clarks airport? Not a fair comparison at all..

40km .. if non peak hours, can reach city in 30 minutes also if drive 80 km/h.
